Paul Seward has Seventeen years experience in agricultural development in Kenya, firstly as an Executive Officer for an international Soils Research Organisation (TSBF), secondly as a Technical Adviser of a local NGO, thirdly as Managing Director of Farm Input Promotions Africa (FIPS-Africa).

I have developed an innovative methodology (closely linking research into, supply of, and extension of the need to use the appropriate farm inputs) to improve the livelihoods, and in particular the food security of the poorest small-scale farmers.  The methodology, centered around the “Mini-pack method”, empowers small-scale farmers to experiment with, and adopt the appropriate farm inputs to improve their food security. 

I have a strong technical background in soil science and plant nutrition, have worked in new product development for Norsk Hydro, the World’s largest fertilizer manufacturer and distributor, and am using experience to develop new improved fertilizer products and make them accessible to small-scale farmers.
